Protect Medicaid Expansion

Since Governor Steve Beshear expanded Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act, Kentucky's uninsured rate has dropped by over 60%. We must do everything we can to protect Medicaid expansion despite the countless Republican attempts to throw hundreds of thousands of Kentuckians off of their health insurance.

Cap Prescription Drug Prices

Every day, a Kentucky family has to choose between filling their prescriptions or putting food on the table. In fact, 1 in 4 Kentuckians have forgone prescriptions due to the cost. That is an injustice. No one should have to choose immediate survival over long-term health. By capping the costs of prescription drugs, we can make healthcare more affordable for all.

Aid Nursing Homes

The federal government has rated 43% of Kentucky's nursing homes as "below average" or "much below average."  A huge part of the issue is understaffing, and our legislature much take action to raise the wages of nurses and nurse aides.

End Surprise Medical Billing

Four in ten American families have received a medical bill in the last two years that they expected to be covered by their insurance. Kentucky must pass Rep. Stevenson's bill to end surprise medical billing.
