Government & Voting Rights

End Partisan Gerrymandering

Voters should choose their politicians, not the other way around. Our state constitution guarantees free and equal elections. Partisan gerrymandering not only undermines faith in our elections, it undermines our constitution itself.  Rather than politicians carving up Kentucky's legislative districts, we should have an independent, non-partisan commission take control of redistricting.

Protect and Expand Voter Access

The right to vote is the bedrock of our democracy, and it should be treated as such. Kentucky should expand access to voting by extending the hours in which polling places are open and restoring voting rights to all people who have served their time for a felony offense.

Bring Transparency to Frankfort

Right now, politicians have the ability to pass bills without much (if any) public input. We saw this happen in the last legislative session. Not only is it wrong in the eyes of the public, it is wrong in the eyes of the law. We must put leaders in Frankfort who will be transparent and accountable to their constituents rather than bow to special interests and their own ambitions.
